The Youth Work Mentorship Scheme appoints youth work veterans to support promising youth workers in their youth work journey.
As experts in their respective areas, Youth Work mentors bring with them a wealth of knowledge and serve as role models to guide and inspire younger youth workers.
Who Are The Appointed Youth Work Mentors?
Youth Work Mentors are appointed for their in-depth experience and expertise to enhance and develop youth work practices. They have at least 10 years of experience in youth work and are recognised as experts in the youth work sector.
Selection Criteria:
- At least 10 years of experience in youth work
- Level of professional expertise
- Impact of contributions to youth work
- By nomination only
Terms Of Appointment
Youth Work Mentors are appointed for a two-year term, from 1 May 2021 to 30 April 2023.
Each mentor will be assigned up to a maximum of 2 mentees, with frequency of mentoring at least 4 times over a year.
How To Sign Up To Be A Mentee?
This scheme is free of charge but is limited to 2 youth workers per agency.
Youth Workers who are keen to benefit from the Youth Work Mentorship Scheme must get the endorsement from the Head of Agency before submitting the application at:
